Exceptional forged iron pigtail handled candlestick with eight lobed petal base, double vase and ring turned column, beneath four pigtail embellishments, with octagonal disc cap, spiral shaft terminating in second octagonal cap with pigtail carrying handle. A pigtailed socket riser, within the spiral, completes this incredible device. A wonderful example of utilitarian form, developed as a superb blacksmith’s accomplishment. Untouched, in early black painted surface.”
